Procuria Proudly Supports Circus Starr

At Procuria, supporting our community is at the heart of what we do, and this year, we’re proud to once again partner with Circus Starr, the inclusive, not-for-profit circus that brings joy and wonder to children across the UK.

Last year, our donation helped cover the cost of two tickets and two Sensory Story Packs, these are specially designed tools that bring the circus to life for children with additional needs. Thanks to support like ours, Circus Starr was able to host their incredible circus-themed show with a difference, where accessibility and inclusion take centre stage.

Circus Starr goes above and beyond to create a show every child can enjoy, with features like British Sign Language interpreters and Changing Places toilet facilities available at every performance. These thoughtful touches mean children who may normally miss out on live entertainment have the chance to experience the magic of the circus in a safe and welcoming environment.

One story that truly touched us was that of four-year-old Jessica, who lives with Hydrocephalus and Cerebral Palsy. Her family shared how rare and special it was to enjoy a moment of “normality” together. Jessica’s excitement at seeing a performer with a similar name has stayed with her long after the show, and inspired her family to feel more confident exploring other live events.

“It was really nice to be able to enjoy going out as a family... Jessica was overjoyed and keeps announcing herself as ‘Jessica Jasters’ now!”

The next local show will take place on Thursday, 26th June 2025, at The Freedom Centre, Hull. We encourage anyone in a position to support this incredible cause to consider donating or sponsoring a child’s visit.
