Pest Control Update: Glue Traps

Our pest control providers have protected public health for 40 years; and we work in partnership with them to keep your premises pest-free and keep your customers and staff safe. We do this through our innovative solutions and implementing preventive measures, whilst minimising our impact on the environment.

To achieve control of infestations, and as a last resort, we are permitted to use rodent glue traps. However, due to changes in the law, from 31st July 2024, the use of glue traps for the control of rodents will only be permitted by pest professionals under a highly restrictive licensing scheme. This new scheme sees licenses divided into two types; Class License, and Individual License.

We work with a team of fully trained class licence holders who will support customers falling under the class licence scheme and those for which an individual licence is granted, following a risk assessment to ensure all other methods of control have been used appropriately. However this change in the law will affect any contracts specifically referring to glue traps and these will no longer be inclusive.
