Ashton-In-Makerfield store expands Food to Go range with Procuria

In July 2022, family owned Go Local store located in Ashton-in-Makerfield joined the Procuria group in a bid to expand the offering the store has for its customers. Despite the shop being of a smaller size with two rooms of sizes 7m x 4m and 5m x 3m to work with, and a weekly turnover between £8,000 - £10,000, owner Darren was determined to expand the Food to Go offering that the store had.

Working closely with Andy, the Commercial Manager at Procuria, the Go Local store has now introduced numerous different products for his customers to enjoy. These include the Hershey's and Reese's Freeze machines, Jolly Rancher Slush, Fanta Frozen, and a Lavazza Coffee machine.

Since bringing these additions to the store, they have been increasingly popular to customers. The Lavazza machine has been a fantastic success during the Winter season with hot coffee a must for surviving the cold weather. During the upcoming months as we head into a warmer weather period, the Go Local store is bound to reap the rewards of being prepared with an extensive cool drinks range.

Best sellers in the store are following a similar pattern to many retailers at this point in time, with vape continuing to generate an incredible number of sales. Darren also praised the business he is seeing from his Food to Go pasty offering.

Future plans for the business are already being considered by the store owner, who mentioned ideas of stocking the ever popular American Candy through Procuria. In addition, plans of a sandwich bar were discussed, and even electric car charging ports on the external area of the building for any traffic passing by on the busy road where the shop is located.
